One in four of us will struggle with our emotional health at some time in our lives. Life has its ups and downs for all of us.

You may be having a rough time at the moment.

  • Are you bottling things up, not wanting to speak about what's really worrying you?
  • Generally feeling down, not yourself?
  • Do you have trouble concentrating, your mind jumping from one thought to another?
  • Are there problems in your relationships?
  • Having problems sleeping or eating?
  • Have you recently been made redundant or worried your job is at risk?
  • Are you concerned about how you are going to make your money last this month? 

Things like this could be having an effect on the way you think, feel and behave and it can be frightening if it’s happening to you. It could be stopping you from enjoying the things that you usually like to do.

 

There’s help out there –you can speak directly to a local talking therapy team member.  They will talk through your worries with you and provide the best support, help and advice for your particular need. You can also speak to your doctor or nurse at your GP practice to seek help.

STEP 1
Speak to your doctor or nurse at your GP practice to seek help or speak to Impact on Teesside on 01642 573924.

STEP 2
Following this, you will be invited by the provider to meet or chat on the phone, to talk over what is best for you. This should be be within 5 days. This chat will help determine what type of treatment is best for you. Please note that during current restrictions on movement, there may not be options for face-to-face treatment. However, telephone or social media options will be available. 

STEP 3
After your first chat it will be determined what level or help you will need as stated above. Some people may need a higher intensity treatment, which may involve a slightly longer waiting time. Others may be able to be seen more quickly.
