The Samaritans operate a service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, for people who want to talk in confidence. Contact Teesside Samaritans on FREEPHONE  116 123.

Looking after someone who has Mental Health difficulties can also be difficult for their carers. Help is available. Talk to someone who understands:

Macmillan Support

People affected by cancer including their carers are often concerned about financial problems due to reduced income and increased costs such as travelling expenses and extra heating.

A Macmillan benefits adviser can help by working out financially what you may be entitled to. The adviser has specialist knowledge of benefits, tax credits and grants. Find out more

Money worries or caring for someone? Do you know what you are entitled to?

If money worries are getting you down, free and confidential advice/assistance relating to welfare benefits and tax credits are available in GP surgeries.
You can arrange to speak to an advisor at one of several health venues across the region.
